About Mandy Powell

  • I'm Mandy Powell, and I am a Wedding & Event Specialist. I have 28 years of experience in all aspects of Event Coordinating. Prior to starting my own wedding planning business in 2007, I have a strong hotel management background. I was the Director of Catering Sales for the Westin Poinsett Hotel for 7 years. In addition to opening the hotel and being the Director, I was the wedding specialist for the Poinsett.  During my time at the Poinsett alone I planned and orchestrated well over 400 weddings, every corporate event you could imagine from the smallest business meeting to the BMW PRO AM Charity Classic, spectacular galas, fundraisers, Holiday Parties, etc. I would not trade my experience of opening the Poinsett Hotel for anything. I was the Director of Events for the Commerce Club for several years, and the Director of Sales for the Hampton Inn downtown Greenville, prior to starting my business. I was very nervous about going out on my own, but I had a lot of cheerleaders. I prayed that if I could book 2 or 3 weddings my first year, that I made the right decision.  Well, I booked 12 weddings in the first 6 weeks without a business card!  I knew in my heart then I was going to be able to do what I truly love.  I have been incredibly blessed ever since.  Being a Greenville Native, I feel that I have a strong advantage in our beautiful community. I have built amazing professional and personal relationships with the top vendors all over South Carolina. I am also extremely familiar with the hotels and free standing venues in the Greenville area, and have wonderful working relationships with them.

  • I love what I do so much, and my couples and families know that very soon in the planning process. I am beyond flattered and honored when a family trusts me to assist with the planning of one of the most important days in their lives. I take it so seriously, but still love to laugh and have fun through the entire process. I look at it like I have one chance to knock it out of the park.  There is no do-over.  I put my heart and soul into every wedding or event I plan. I have now planned well over 900 weddings in my career, and still love it!  I look forward to working with you

Tiffany Ford

  • Tiffany Ford started her internship with me in April of 2013, prior to graduating from Clemson with a BA in Communication Studies and Spanish. Tiffany has been with me now for 5 wedding seasons and brings so much creativity to the table; she has a great eye for detail.  Tiffany is working hard now establishing herself in the hospitality industry. Tiffany has built a strong foundation in event design working in theater production during her time at Clemson University.  She has worked for the Hyatt Regency in Sales & Catering, for Aramark at several higher education accounts: Furman University, Presbyterian College, Clemson University, and Wofford College, and is now employed at the Spartanburg Marriott as a Sales & Catering Account Manager, in addition to working with me during the busy wedding seasons.
